Rules/Regulations
As this association has just been founded, the rules will be quite lax as we need all the uniform/kit we can get. However, there are some regulations and rules regarding uniform, kit, and members.
1. REGARDING HISTORICAL UNIFORMS.
Uniforms of the Cold War era and onwards will not be tolerated when using WWII uniforms. Refusal to comply will result in the defrocking of the offensive article. This is a WWII society, not modern.
However, from 1945-1952 the Canadian Army's stocks still kept WWII-pattern uniforms, as there had been an oversupply. These were replaced when Queen Elizabeth II ascended to the throne and the King's crown on buttons, uniforms, etc, were changed. Therefore it is legal to wear post-war uniforms, but only in this time period and after any modification to replicate the historical WWII uniform.
American uniforms may be used for FSSF and purely American impressions. Please ask ahead about US impressions.
German uniforms of all types from WWII are allowed.
Please contact about various other impressions if you wish (Russian, French, Japanese, Italian, etc)
WWI impressions: Please contact command of the unit.
2. REGARDING HISTORICAL KIT.
It is recommended to include only WWII kit. However, exceptions may be made for kit similar to WWII-style kit. Basic (or "skeleton") kit is used in almost all situations (apart from parade, etc.) As time goes on gathering a combat kit is great for the best uniform in battle.
3. REGARDING HISTORICAL VEHICLES.
Post-war vehicles may be used, with or without modification, within reason. Vietnam War and later vehicles will not be allowed except in cases where they were modified to match WWII prototypes.

4. FOR MEMBERS IN PUBLIC.
When re-enacting, always remember that you are portraying a number of historical people who actually existed. Therefore, act accordingly. When in parade uniform make sure it is neat, tidy, and straight. When in battledress make sure it is accurate and respectful, keeping items with uniforms that used them. When talking to the public be respectful, especially of Veterans. Try to answer questions to the best of your abilities, and if you don't know the answer, try to direct the person to someone who does. Be knowledgeable about your uniform/the society. No one dislikes a re-enactor less than one who doesn't even know who/what he is portraying.
5. AGE RANGES.
The current age range is 13 on up. Children ages 13-16 may re-enact as civilians (French, Belgian, Dutch, or German). As there is currently no German division set up yet no Hitlerjugend may be portrayed. Re-enactors 16 years of age or older may portray standard forces.
If a member 13-16 wishes, they may become part of the army divisions, but only as support (cooks, supply, etc.)
6. POLITICAL.
We do not align ourselves politically. No Neo-Nazism will be tolerated at all in any German division, or in the society as a whole. We are portraying what it was like for the soldiers back then, not an outlet for extremism.
